Fall Minis: North End Virginia Beach

North End area of Virgina Beach is my favorite place for sunset family photos. There’s fewer people, the dunes are wide creating lots of space between the houses and the sand (read: no homes in the background of your shot!)

North End area starts at 42nd street near the Cavalier Hotel all the way up to Ft. Story at 89th street. The higher up you go, the further you get from the hotels of Oceanfront. Don’t get me wrong, they’re still visible from way up there, but not ruining your photos.

Have you been to the Cavalier?? You need to go. It’s the original resort built in the 1920s that put Virginia Beach as a resort destination. They’ve got a museum with photos and trinkets from throughout their history. There’s also wide open porch and bar area to sit and sip. For a fancy date night, hit up the Becca.
