A photo session in the snow has been on my bucket list for a few years now… but I also have an aversion to climates that are cold enough to snow. Virginia Beach is too cold for me!
The Lantz family was already scheduled with the forecast came in pink! This southern driver was willing to *slowly* get there to do my first session in the snow!
And their two boys have the same names as two of mine. It was a killer in home session!
Magazine Family Feature
Do you get one of these neighborhood magazines? Moving to VA Beach was the first time I’d seen one…also the first time I’d lived off a military base in almost 6 years! They’re everywhere now!
Some people think they’re cheesy but I LOVE IT. The first issue was about people in my neighborhood who owned a brewery! Never mind it was during covid and HPCON C so we didn’t actually go for full year, but stillllll I felt in the know! It still helps me keep tabs on what is going on.
Fast forward 12 months and I’m one of the contributing photographers for not on my magazine but several others in the area.
What I love about it is meeting new people and business owners in my own backyard. Entrepreneurship is such an adventure and everyone’s journey is interesting to me.
How To Be a Cover Family
Submit a request! We’re always looking for families willing to be on the cover. The editorial listing on your magazine will have the point of contact for submission requests.
Beware: the publishing deadline is EARLY. To get in a May issue, the deadline is April 1st. It always runs that far a head which is challenging.
Have you thought about family photos while you’re in Hawai’i?
Its photo season year-round here in Hawaii and I want you to take advantage of it!
Take home the bright skies, warm air and blue water to relive it over and over because you’ll never experience this place with the kids these ages ever again.
This is your one shot. Take it!
As the ringleader of my own 4 boy circus, I know how hard getting family photos can be. I’m here to change that.
If I could dress your kids and literally hang your family photos on your walls, I would …but I can’t, so I do just about everything else in between. That’s why I take the time to hold your hand from start to finish.
Because what good are family photos if your kids never see them?
I only accept two families a week, so if you have dates, reach out to Alison Bell, Photographer now.
I'm a USMC spouse, South Carolina native, recovering homeschool mama of a 4 boy circus. They've taught me the most important facet of family photography: KEEP IT FUN!
