I have been photographing families for 6 years. But I am brand spanking new to the idea having makeup done for a photo session!
Fact: I don’t wear much make up. My foundation is a tinted moisturizer with SPF- one step, baby! I do where eyeliner daily.
This is where Melina D in. The benefits started hours before – no anxiety about doing my makeup!
“How am I going to do it?” Melina’s got it.
What am I going to use?” Melina’s got it. “Am I going to look flushed out?” Melina’s got it. “Do I still have that lip gloss?” Melina’s got it.
Before I go any further, you must know it did. not. sweat. off. Not at all! Oki heat in June and four lovely boys under 6 to wrangle. Note the photos below.
What impressed me the most about Melina is that she mixes her make up right there. She doesn’t have a drawer of endless shades, like Clinique, to match your skin tone. That girl just looks at you, does some magic, and bam. Its not just foundation she mixes, but lips too!
She took her time, was so laid back (great balance for my high strung self), and made sure I was confident with the final product.
Here’s one of the last photos of the session. You can see my bangs sticking to my forehead. Now email Melina!
