She Wanted Photos But Didn’t Have Ideas

“I just sit in front of the computer all day,” said Kelly, virtual Chief Operations Officer. She’s the one who streamlines your business so you can outsource.. 

On our pre session strategy call her exact words were, “I’ve got binders.”  

Kelly reached out to me because she knew “trust in the online space starts with the first impression” and that means “quality photos- people can tell what’s stock images and whats not.” 

Kelly knew she needed custom images to elevate her brand and gain trust in her virtual space, but she had no idea what she needed photos of.

Branding Phone Consult

 Prior to our strategy session, she completed my branding questionnaire about the problems, her solutions, clients, look and personality of her one-woman show. We drilled deeper on the phone:

• How does she onboard new clients?
• What does she DO for them?
• What makes her approach different?
• What problems does she solve?
• What gaps in client education exist?

And all the while I was jotting down ideas – binders, computers, staged clients (her sister!), books, and whiteboards.  We ended up with so many ideas we couldn’t even get through it all in our one hour session. 

Our Shot List

After walking through the branding questionnaire, I had a good idea of her physical and virtual processes and come up with a list of ways to depict them in photos:

• Writing her stages on a white board
• Staging a virtual zoom call with fake client (her sister!)
• Assembling binders
• Throwing paper because why not?!
• Reading
• Involving her pup
• Details of tools hourglass, books, signage
• Environmental portrait
