Turtle Bay is a Ritz Carlton Resort on the North Shore of Oahu. Its one of the very few hotels on the North Shore making it a primary destination for family photography. Turtle Bay is on the most northern tip of Oahu.

It may sound crazy but Turtle Bay is seriously THE only resort on the North Shore. I think there’s a 2 star hotel in La’ie, but that doesn’t count. It is very secluded, very quiet.
Turtle Bay has all the features from lei making, horseback riding, ukulele lessons to the standard pools and beaches, spas, and more.
Where is Turtle Bay Resort On Oahu
Turtle Bay Resort is on the most northern tip of Oahu. Its secluded, gorgeous and practically begging to be the feature of your next Christmas card.
Turtle Bay is about an hour drive up the H2 from the Honolulu airport.

Turtle Bay is a hotspot for filming! It make sense, its the only resort that far north. Perfect for housing and feeding crews.

Why Hire a Photographer Instead of Trusting Your Husband
I don’t even rely on my own husband and I have the fancy gear!
I could also set up a really nice tripod and remote shutter but theres MANY reasons I don’t do that…
- Kids won’t listen
- You won’t actually make time for it

What to Expect In a Turtle Bay Photography Session
Turtle Bay’s unique location on the tip of the island makes it great for morning or evening. Personally, I only shoot at sunrise for many reasons – my favorite being no beer bloat!
Fun & Playful – I always get the “everyone look at me shot,” but then its all fun and games. I curate the task and know what I’m looking for so even the grumpiest of teens will forget what’s really going on.
No Stress – I do everything in my power to make it easy on you, Mom. That includes bringing the cookies (and tequila!). I’ve got band-aids, combs, bobby pins, baby wipes and bribes.
How to Make the Most of Your Session
Plan. Plan. Plan. This why I like to talk to all of my clients on the phone before booking. I want you to feel as prepared as possible! I do this all the time and know all the tricks.
- Plan your clothes and pack them separately. All my clients get access to Style & Select so this is super easy.
- Do the session as soon as you can in your trip – pre sunburns!
- Do the session at sunrise so you don’t get caught in traffic
- Pick a location nearby your hotel
- Turn a blind eye to misbehavior. Its totally fine.
