My Own Family Session

Alison Bell, Kin, beach, blue water, family, child, kid photography, kin town

I know first hand awkward it can be in FRONT of the camera! Just about every year we have our own family photos done. The only exception was that one year with two PCS’s within 6 months of each other, so you can imagine why. 😉  When I give advice on keeping it stress-free, its from experience!

I contacted Kristi James Photography before she PCS’ed and said “I just want blue water!!!” I’m not a fan of the muddy looking water at sunset. We’re a family of all boys, lots of energy and the beach is just our jam.  I can sit on my tail while everyone can go different directions and everyone is happy. Arguing? I just send em walking in opposite ways. I brought my favorite beach chair (because I take it every. single. time.) and my bluetooth speaker.  I blasted Jimmy Buffet per our usual and had a great time!

  • New takeaway: play music for my clients!!

We shot at beach pull off in Kin Town. Its right across the street from the non-tactical gate at Hansen, if you’re familiar with it. I suggested it because I like the story behind us. We live across the bay in the background. We pass this beach every time we go see Daddy at work or check the mail.

Notice the real life, taking my own advice: FOOD! Yes, the box of raisins made it in the shot. 😀 I’ok with that. That’s the story of being 2 and 4 years old, amiright?

Here’s my favorite family shot :

I find joy in chaos. The louder, the better!
