Extended family session with nine kids ages 12 and under, Gram and Grandpa!

I travelled home to South Carolina in December. Getting all nine cousins in one place was a historic event for us! We moved to Okinawa January 2016 and my nephew had no memory of having ‘boy cousins.’ It wasn’t for lack of trying!

My mom’s one request was photos of all the grandkids together.

At the same time.

In the same place.

Not too complicated right? Just took 5 years. #nbd

My mom especially wanted the family groups to be visually distinct. See if you can see which groups are siblings!

We had one full day with everyone together and the sun was c-r-a-p. It was solid overcast. A lot of photogs like overcast and cloudy, but I’m not one of them. Only direct sunshine can give you strong contrast, vibrancy and gooey highlights… and now I’m drooling.

Nine kids 12 and under. Not one frame had every single person smiling *and* looking, although I got pretty close singing W-I-C-K-E-D I know all the ways to be… Just me? #noshame

Enter face swapping! In Photo shop I literally copy one from a frame I like, and paste it on a the frame I like most! Google it, its pretty straight forward.

Charleston, South Carolina is home for me, but we currently live in Virginia attached to the Marine Corps. (Their IG is gorgeous btw!) BUT I travel back as often as possible!
