This was a bittersweet Change of Command Ceremony. The outgoing commander lived in our cal-de-sac just four doors down. Our kids are about the same age. Ginny was so helpful transporting food up to the battalion for me (30 minute drive one way!) We have really missed them!
All that made photographing the event extra special. My hubs was even in it, but I spared him by not sharing his shots here :D. We didn’t have great weather. It was heavily overcast at 10am and the wind was unrelenting. But I am oh so grateful it wasn’t moved to the yellow gym or the super dark theatre!
If you’ve got a Change of Command, promotion, re-enlistment, Relief & Appointment, retirement or other ceremony (seems to be an endless list!), contact me and let’s see what we can do!
