2022 Christmas Mini Session Round Up

In 2021 I connected with some neighbors that were willing to share their family heirloom, a 1953 Studebaker with original paint, for Christmas mini sessions. It was my first time ever offering such a styled shoot! We ended up with one jam packed day that was a huge success.

Christmas Truck minis were such a success last year, I offered two dates! But that’s where it got tricky.

In order to have two dates, each with a weather back up date and plenty of time to return them before holiday rush, we started before Halloween!

That’s right, the first date of Christmas minis was October 29!

To complicate it even further, the Great Neck Baseball league was having their Wooden Bat Tournament the same day as our mini sessions – which meant switching parking spaces, blocking off the spot at 6am and praying for clouds!

Ironically, more people signed up for Christmas photos before Halloween than the November 12th date! (Note to self: that’s awesome)

One client even ran the Wicked 10k the morning of October 29 and was dressed in Christmas fancy by 2pm for photos! Talk about whip lash.

We set up at Great Neck Park and deck it out for Christmas. Even the pups came out with festive collars!

I find joy in chaos. The louder, the better!
