2021 Quantico Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions
Sike! This is actually a Saucer Magnolia Tree (sometimes called a Japanese Magnolia). Its old with a cascading, Dogwood blooming right behind it. These trees are so big, you couldn’t plant this set up and recreate it!
Why I like the Magnolia better:
- Bigger blooms
- Cascading dogwood in the background
- On base – Marines can wear their cammies! Yes, beg him!

Quantico Magnolia Minis happen all in one day – morning and afternoon sessions.
The date is TRICKY. We never know when they’re going to bloom. Based on the previous year I set 2 tentative dates. I watch DC Blossom Watch for weekly updates and we adjust course as necessary. Last year, it was later than expected but was perfect!
Mini sessions are 30 minute sessions
More time does not equal more value. More time never made anyone cry less, or have more fun! Whether your kids are grown and cooperative, or super young and uncooperative, its perfect for simple updated family photos, cake smash, maternity, high school seniors, milestones, or Christmas card shots!
Yes! 30 minutes is enough!
