Alison’s favorite photo gifts
Photo gifts are one of the most personal and thoughtful gifts you can give. Whether you’re shopping for the unofficial family photographer or you want to print photos you’ve had taken, I’ve linked up my favorite holiday gift ideas for you!
My top picks are in two categories:
Alison Bell, Photographer partners with affiliate platforms where commission may be earned based on clicks and or purchases, and I would love it if you decided to use the links above! Affiliate links help bloggers like me to fund the free content that we provide on our blogs.
Photo Gifts from Amazon

1. Skylight Digital Frame
Email photos directly to the frame! Skip the uploading, downloading – this frame has is own email address and will automatically display new photos sent from anywhere in the world! Perfect for Grandparents!

2. Old Towne Photo Album
Each of these album olds up to 200 4x6s each! I have one for almost every year.
I get so bogged down in the design part of printing or ordering photo books that it never happens (ie: I paid $40 for a TEMPLATE of a maternity journal I never printed)
But… with organized Digital photos by year and month, I pick my favorite 200 images from the year, print them cheaply and put them in chronological order.
What I love most: there’s lines to write next to each photo slot. I can write in my own handwriting the birthday details, the vacation memories or just the simple “Field trip to the farm.” No font, color, size or design skills needed!

3. Thrifty 50 – 50mm lens
If you’re on the market for a ‘big camera’ – skip the kit cameras! Do not waste your money. Those lenses are trash. Instead, buy the body of your choice and the super inexpensive 50mm lens that goes up to f/1.8 for only $150!
Nerd note: f/2.8 and wider is considered a professional lens. This is several stops wider than f/2.8 and none of the professional price tag.
Don’t forget: Always get a UV filter for your lens! Its cheaper to replace a busted $10 filter than the whole lens!

Photo Gifts from Your Gallery
My clients have access to a prints shop inside their own photo gallery. If you can’t find yours or need a fresh link, lmk!

1. Double Sided Metal Ornament
Durable, wipe clean metal ornament is a classic addition to your Christmas tree! Who doesn’t love seeing their first Christmas or whole family on the tree??

2. Print Box
Comes with 10-100 prints. Need a quick baby picture for a school project? Someone want to see their first birthday photos? A print box will have it! A print box can be customized to a year or milestone and hold up to 100 images.
You can order 10 images from your session and add other photos from the year, or decade!

3. Photo calendar
Enjoy new photos every month! Design it once and happy reminder all year long.
Pro tip: Tear off the photos and make the kids an ‘album’ at the end of the year!
