2022 Fall Mini Session Round Up | Virginia Beach Mini Sessions
Fall family photos are all about those Mini Sessions! Instead of creating a single post per round of minis, I’ve gathered all the mini sessions in one place so you can see it all!
Mini sessions are 15-20 minute sessions
More time does not equal more value. More time never made anyone cry less, or have more fun! Whether your kids are grown and cooperative, or super young and uncooperative, its perfect for simple updated family photos, cake smash, maternity, high school seniors, milestones, or Christmas card shots!
Mini sessions are the perfect fit.
Yes! 15 minutes is enough!
More time is not more value. My mission is to leave you asking, “That’s it?!”
Fast. Fun. Done.
Dad is going to be pleased and you’re going to be shocked I got so many happy faces so quickly!
They happen at pre-determined dates and locations.
Get on the Waitlist now to get them in your inbox as soon as they’re released! Be sure to drag it to your primary inbox so you don’t miss it!
Mini sessions happen roughly once a quarter, sometimes more often in the busy seasons.
Fall Mini session fall into two categories:
Pleasure House Point Mini Sessions
In 2022 I took a new approach to fall mini sessions.
Pleasure House Point at the Brock Environmental Center is SUPER popular with very limited spacing. Its incredibly dynamic in that dozens of photographers can be there and almost not get in anyone’s way.
Its so popular that on Saturdays, my overflow parking spots are full! So, to combat that I went another route:
Thursdays.
Yup. I only did one round of mini sessions on a Saturday this year and it was the slowest to book! But the Thursdays filled easily – I was surprised!
There were fewer people, easy parking, and the time slots were pretty manageable before the time change in early November.
I will 100% do Thursdays again for Pleasure House Point!
*That means get they’ll be in October so make sure you’re getting emails when booking opens next year!

Christmas Truck Minis
Christmas Truck minis were such a sucess last year, I offered two dates! But that’s where it got tricky.
In order to have two dates, each with a weather back up date and plenty of time to return them before holiday rush, we started before Halloween!
That’s right, the first date of Christmas minis was October 29! Ironically it was fuller than the November 12th date!
One client even ran the Wicked 10k the morning of October 29 and was dressed in Christmas fancy by 2pm for photos! Talk about whip lash!
I set up a 1953 Chevy Studebaker at Great Neck Park and deck it out for Christmas

I find joy in chaos. The louder, the better!
