I have to admit this is my first session in Old Town Helena. I’ve done several on and in Buck Creek, but never in Old Town or on the railroad tracks. Railroad safety videos from elementary school still haunt me every time I see photos of toddlers sitting in rail road tracks. It drives me crazy. I also dislike how busy Old Town’s tracks are and how wide open and close they are to walkways and business. Shouldn’t there be a gate or something? Pretty wrought iron gate just to keep the littles from dashing off?
Anyway, this crew rocked their session! We were all hotter than we anticipated, and tots will be tots. But Mama had GREAT expectations. Not that she expected too much, but that her expectations were right in line with how her (and all other) one year old performed. Expecting too much is the biggest source of stress for most photo sessions.
This little guy almost didn’t warm up to me. *Almost* made me nervous since that would have been a first. All fall I have been continually reminded why 30 minute sessions are more than enough for littles. G did warm up to me, but even though it took a while, he was still done 20 minutes later.
