Since I missed March, I’m including some shots from last month too. We are 2 weeks from baby 4 arriving and everything is getting so hard! We also move just six weeks after baby arrives so I’ve been focused on  photographing the ‘mundane’ every day sights we’ll soon be forgetting… or that the littles won’t remember.

Boys are 5, 3, and almost 2.  There’s much to remember, most of which they’ll only know through these photographs.

I feel like I shouldn’t say anything about this one because it might ruin it! It was less cuddly and more like baby fell into him and hit the shutter just before Owen pushed him off.

I did my spring mini sessions with this bunny and just had to do a small shoot in our backyard…before anything turned green. But bunnies love to eat weeds!

Soooo I have images for this month, but only because my eldest turned 5.  I’ve not made much effort to photograph our life the last few months.  I’m currently 29 weeks pregnant and have ZERO pregnancy pictures. Z-E-R-O. We’ve had two birthdays and Christmas in the last 3 months and I’ve got nothing to show for it, of me at least. Maybe we’ll change that soon.

A new year of 10 on 10! I struggle month to month to get this up on time, but its a blessing by the end of the year to have taken, edited, and organized so many personal images for our family album.  In fact, my 2014 album is 99% done! That’s record timing.

This year we have some new photogs joining in the project, so make sure you click through the links and leave some comment love! Robyn Russell | Burlington, Ontario

Charleston, South Carolina, children's museum of the lowcountry

I love my hometown, Charleston, SC.  It is the reason (along with my mom!) that I am a history buff.  We spent the week after Christmas there and visited the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry for the first time.  The place is small, but they pack a huge punch with a ton of awesome, well designed, stuff.  Including this pirate ship.

They have a whole room dedicated to golfballs and ramps, jumps, levers, spirals, all demonstrating the laws of motion, momentum, inertia, friction, etc etc.  We had to PULL the boys away to see the rest of the place. And had to end with a few more rolls before we left.

Dolphins to climb on.

We also took the boys to their first historic site in Charleston – The Old Exchange and Provost Dugeon.  Owen is really into real life pirates and they kept some pirates here in real life, so we took them! Here he’s looking over the original half moon wall of the walled colony of Charles Town. Charleston Town was the only walled colony in the Americas.

Liam could care less about the history, but he liked climbing… Charleston, South Carolina, children's museum of the lowcountry

Just a cool dungeon wall that led to the main street outside.  This is where they would have loaded and unloaded cargo for the ships through the custom house in its early days.

So.. Never mind that its two days before Christmas.  My participation in this personal project has been spotty all year so I’m just glad to be posting this!

There’s no theme or connecting concept to all of these photos.  Just the 10 best (I use that word loosely… I’ve not focused on personal photos during this busy time of family sessions!) all from the last 6 weeks or so..

We foolishly spent our Thanksgiving morning in Ohio walking a 5k.  If I could have run the whole thing, that would have been fun.  But walking in the cold with our three, not as much fun as we anticipated.  It was snowing.

I’m a few days late.  This month collided with a deadline and a trip to South Carolina for my high school reunion. (So thankful gas prices are down!)

No surprise, it’s all Halloween themed. Disclosure: I really dislike this holiday, and I’m more excited that it’s over!

This is the best way to do Trick or Treating. The whole neighborhood gathers at a designated time and parades down the main road escorted by a fire truck. At the end of the road – TRICK OR TREATING.  It starts early, ends early and is super neighborly.
